How It Happened
- The Diplomats recorded all four of the shots in the first half, getting on the scoreboard with 8:30 to go in the period. Melanie Consiglio scored from close range after Erin Coverdale deflect a ball originally sent by Phoebe Wood.
- F&M opened the second half with a flurry, recording four shots on goal in the first 17 minutes, but Morgan Domanico made four saves for the Shorewomen to keep the score 1-0.
- The Shorewomen's lone shot of the game came with 16:36 remaining as a shot from Elizabeth Davis was blocked.
- With 9:58 left in the game, the Diplomats picked up the insurance goal when Emily Nagle scored off a long cross from Colleen Francis.
