Box Score Scott Converts Penalty Kick In Loss
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Visiting #22 Johns Hopkins scored twice in the first half and three more times in the second to post a 5-1 win over host Washington College in a Centennial Conference women's soccer game tonight on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. It was the Centennial opener for both teams.

How It Happened
- The Blue Jays got on the board with 20:52 to play in the opening half as Meg Van de Loo took a pass from Ana Bengoechea and chipped a 15 yard shot over the head of Washington goalkeeper Courtney Colbert, which then bounced off the crossbar and in.
- Johns Hopkins extended the lead to 2-0 with 5:58 to play in the half, as Alexa Rangecroft scored on a rebound after an initial Van de Loo shot was saved to double the Blue Jays lead.
- The Blue Jays held a 9-2 advantage in shots at halftime and earned all six of the corner kicks in the opening half of play.
- Johns Hopkins extended the lead to 3-0 with 40:17 to play, as Maggie Coulson headed in a corner kick from Bengoechea.
-The Shorewomen got on the board just 41 seconds later as Steph Scott scored on a penalty kick to cut the Johns Hopkins lead to 3-1 with 39:36 to play.
-The Blue Jays pushed the lead to 4-1 with 34:30 to play as Coulson rocketed home a free kick from 25 yards out into the upper 90 of the net to the left of Colbert.
-Adrienne Johnson capped the scoring with 25:07 to play, heading home a cross from Thea Harvey-Brown after Bengoechea restarted the play on a free kick, to round out the 5-1 score line.
