Box Score Luciani Grabs First Career Shutout
TOWSON, Md. — Visiting Washington College and host Goucher put up a combined 46 shots, but had to settle for a 0-0 double-overtime tie in a non-conference men's soccer game played tonight on Beldon Field in Towson, Maryland.

How It Happened
- The Gophers almost took the lead just 29 seconds into the contest, but a shot from Brandon Cohen hit the post.
- Goucher was again denied a goal via the goal post, this time from a Drew Phillips shot, with 19:33 to go until halftime.
- Greg Adams took the first shot of the night for the Shoremen with 10:15 to go until halftime, but his header sailed just over the crossbar.
- Michael Holowesko almost put the Shoremen ahead with 3:56 to go until halftime, but his header following a Kyle Gaeffke corner kick went just high.
- The Gophers controlled the opening half of play, holding a 9-2 advantage in shots at the break.
- Skyler Clark took the first Washington shot on goal of the night just 89 seconds into the second half, but it was saved by Goucher goalkeeper Daniel Hendry.
- James Strine forced a save from Hendry with 38:24 to go and then had a rebound shot saved by Hendry again just three seconds later.
- Moibanda Rogers had a breakaway shot inside the box saved by a sliding Jonathan Luciani with 31:56 to go.
- Adams had a shot from 15 yards out saved by Hendry with 8:42 to go, the last Shoremen shot on goal of regulation.
- The Shoremen held a 21-16 advantage in shots at the end of regulation after outshooting the Gophers 19-7 in the second half.
- Cohen put the only shot on goal for the Gophers in the overtime period with 25 seconds to go, but it was saved. The Shoremen launched a counter attack following the save and had two separate shots just before the buzzer, one from Adams which was saved by Hendry, and one from Terran Ondiek which was blocked off the goal line by Scott Mt. Pleasant.
- Strine had a pair of shots blocked for the Shoremen with 5:48 and 5:43 to go in the second overtime period, and Matt Rannie sent a shot wide with 4:56 to go.
- Bulanowski took a pair of shots for the Gophers inside of the last three minutes, but both were off target.
