BALTIMORE, Md. — 15th-ranked host Johns Hopkins University defeated visiting Washington College, 3-0, in a Centennial Conference field hockey game this afternoon in Baltimore.

How It Happened
- The Blue Jays held a 10-0 advantage in shots in the first half, putting four on goal. The first three were saved by Morgan Domanico while the fourth - with 1:38 on the clock - was played off the line by Sabrina Jenkins for a defensive save.  For Jenkins, it was her first career defensive save.
- Johns Hopkins finally broke through on the Blue Jays' 20th shot and ninth on goal as Abby Birk tipped in a blast sent by Katie McErlean from the top of the circle during a penalty corner with 24:53 to play in the game.
- The Blue Jays scored again less than five minutes later as Megan Ophel tipped in a shot off an assist from Michaela Corvi with 20:07 remaining.
- McErlean assisted on the Blue Jays' third goal, which Seema Sajjan sent into the back of the cage with 16:41 on the clock.
