O. Sabatino Takes Sole Possession of School Record for Career Goals in Loss

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Visiting McDaniel College rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to post a 2-1 Centennial Conference women's soccer victory over host Washington College this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen scored just 2:21 into the game when Arianna Sabatino sent a pass through a defender's leg into the box where twin sister Olivia Sabatino sent a shot into the goal from right in front for the early lead.
- The Shorewomen had another shot on goal in the 21st, but Olivia Sabatino's attempt was stopped by McDaniel goalkeeper Katherine Carstensen.
- The Green Terror's first shot on goal came in the 26th minute as Maddie Schwartz had her shot stopped by Noah Smith.
- Lindsay Russell put a shot on goal for the Shorewomen in the 31st, while Schwartz had another for McDaniel in the 32nd.
- McDaniel's Hannah Schepers took the first shot on goal of the second half in the 53rd minute for the Green Terror.
- The Green Terror tied the score at the 61:50 mark when Schepers headed in a rebound off a shot initially taken by Carly Wetzel and saved by Smith.
- McDaniel took the lead at 66:58 when Schwartz headed in a corner kick from Alyssa Johnston.
- Olivia Sabatino took a shot on goal for the Shorewomen in the 81st, but it was scooped up by Carstensen.

- Goalkeeper: Katherine Carstensen (3 saves, 1 goal allowed, 90:00)
- The Green Terror held a 17-8 advantage in shots in the game. Each team had six corner kicks. 

Notes

- Olivia Sabatino, who was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewomen Player of the Game, regained sole possession of the Shorewomen's record for career goals with her 19th. Arianna Sabatino had just tied the record of 18 in the Shorewomen's most recent game.
