Dennis Tallies Four Saves for Shorewomen

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Ravenel Davis scored the lone goal of the game from Olivia Ahart with 6:59 remaining in the game to give host #20 Haverford a 1-0 win over visiting Washington College in a Centennial Conference field hockey game on Wednesday night at Swan Field.  The Fords improve to 12-2 overall and 5-2 in the Centennial, while Shorewomen fall to 5-9 and 1-6 respectively.

How It Happened
- Washington's Kat Esposito had the first shot of the game just over three minutes into the game, but it was stopped by Haverford goalie Hannah Roth.
- Haverford took the last four shots of the first quarter, but just one on goal.
- The Fords took two of the three shots in the second quarter, all three of which ended up on goal.
- In the third quarter, Haverford took both shots, one which was on target, but could not score.
- Marah Vain-Callahan took the Shorewomen's last shot of the game with 10:16 left in the fourth quarter, but Roth stopped it. 
- Davis broke the scoreless tie on what proved to be the last shot of the game as she received a pass from Ahart and put it past WC goalie Sasha Dennis off the right post with just under seven minutes to go in the contest.

- Goalkeeper: Dennis (4 saves, 1 goal allowed, 60:00)
- Washington had three shots and two penalty corners in the contest.

For Haverford (12-2, 5-2 CC)
- Scorers: Davis (goal), Ahart (assist)
- Goalkeeper: Roth (3 saves, 0 goals allowed, 60:00)
- The Fords had nine shots and 13 penalty corners in the game.
