LANCASTER, Pa. – Host Franklin & Marshall downed visiting Washington College, 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-12) on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference volleyball action at the Mayser Center. The Diplomats improve to 11-5 overall and 3-1 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen fall to 8-8 and 1-3 respectively.

How It Happened
- The Diplomats jumped out to a 12-2 lead in the first set following a kill by Lauren Arnold. Leading 15-10, F&M closed out the opening set on a 10-2 run, clinching it on an attack error by the Shorewomen.
- In the second set, F&M scored six straight points to break a 6-6 tie to lead 12-6 on an assisted block by Jada West and Sydney Levins. Mikayla Smith served up an ace to clinch the second set for the hosts.
- Leading 13-9 in the third set, F&M scored eight straight points to grab a 21-9 advantage on a Justine Amory kill. Annmarie Early ended the set and match with an ace.
For The Shorewomen (8-8, 1-3 CC)
- Jordan Fairchild (match-high 16 digs)
- Washington had six aces and two blocks.
- Team hit -.104 in the match.
For Franklin & Marshall (11-5, 3-1 CC)
- Allison Franke (match-bests of seven kills and four aces, and hit .467), Hannah McCarthy (18 assists), West (three blocks), Carly Bozzo (15 digs), Meredith Mangum (12 digs)
- Diplomats hit .314 as a team, tallied 10 aces and 6.5 blocks in the win.
