Box Score Camden, NJ – The Washington College women's soccer team remained perfect on the season after pulling out a dramatic, 1-0 victory, in double-overtime versus Rutgers-Camden on Saturday morning. Junior midfielder Ellie Morrall produced the game-winner with just thirty-five seconds left in the game.
How It Happened
- Sophomore midfielder Audrey Flanagan took the first shot of overtime in the 95th minute but Chloe Beasley was able to make the save for the hosts. The play resulted in a corner-kick by senior back Keelie Verbeek.
- Freshman midfielder Emily Morris had an opportunity to score in the second overtime but her shot was turned away by Beasley twenty-eight seconds in.
- Senior forward Erin O'Reilly crossed a pass from the left-side to the middle of the box and Morrall booted home the game-winner with just thirty-five seconds left in the match.
- The Shorewomen did not allow a shot during the two overtime periods.
- Senior goalkeeper Noah Smith made four saves and recorded her third shutout of the season.
- Washington College has not allowed a goal this season.
