Women's Soccer Edged On the Road At Salisbury, 3-1

Salisbury, Md. – The Washington College women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision against the Salisbury Sea Gulls on Wednesday afternoon at Sea Gull Soccer Stadium. All four goals in the contest were scored in the opening half. The Shorewomen fell to 4-2-0 while the Sea Gulls improved to 3-2-0.

How It Happened
-Salisbury jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 12:06 into the match as junior forward Autumn Dougherty scored the first of her two goals. Freshman defender Zakiyyah McMillan was credited with the assist.
-Washington College senior back Keelie Verbeek brought the Shorewomen even just seven minutes later in the 19th minute with an unassisted tally.
- Dougherty produced the game-winner three minutes later in the 22nd minute off an assist by freshman midfielder Katy Poltrack.
- The hosts added an insurance tally as McMillan received another feed from Poltrack and scored in the 23rd minute.

- Salisbury outshot the Shorewomen by an 11-4 margin.
- Washington College held a 7-2 advantage on corner kicks.
