Team Hits .286 in Triumph

WASHINGTON, D.C. –The visiting Washington College volleyball team picked up its first win of the season over host Trinity (D.C.) on Thursday night, 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-19), in a non-conference volleyball match at the Trinity Center.  The Shorewomen improve to 1-4 on the year, while the Tigers fall to 0-3.

How It Happened
- In the first set, the Shorewomen used nine kills to prevail in a six-point victory.
- Washington came away with a 13-point win in the second set as the team totaled 10 kills. 
- The Shorewomen had their biggest margin of victory in the third and final set as they netted eight kills and hit .286 for the third straight set.   

For The Shorewomen (1-4)
- Courtney Maxwell (seven kills, seven digs and hit .538), Angelina Schaber (seven kills), Colette Franck (six aces to set personal-high)
- Shorewomen had 14 service aces in the match.
- WC hit .286 in the contest and hit exactly .286 in all three sets.
