Box Score Chestertown, Md. - The Washington College women's soccer team battled undefeated Franklin & Marshall and came away with a hard-fought, 0-0 draw in the Centennial Conference opener on Saturday at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Shorewomen moved to 4-2-1 (0-0-1) while the Diplomats are now 5-0-1 (0-0-1). Senior goalkeeper Noah Smith made a career-high nine stops to lead the Shorewomen.
How It Happened
- The Shorewomen held down high-powered Franklin & Marshall and were able to pick up a point in the conference stadings.
- The defense was tremendous all night as they allowed the visitors very few quality chances.
- The Diplomats took 19 shots but only ten were on target.
- Washington College managed a shot by Erin O'Reilly in the second overtime as the hosts had difficulty creating scoring opportunities.
