MARY'S CITY, Md. – Host St. Mary's (Md.) jumped out to a 2-0 lead and fended off a late charge from visiting Washington College to register a 2-1 win in a non-conference field hockey game on Saturday afternoon on Jamie L. Roberts Stadium. The Seahawks even their record at 3-3, while the Shorewomen are now 4-2 on the year.

How It Happened
- The Seahawks took the lead with 3:38 to go in the first quarter on a Celina Kaufman goal with Gabrielle Corder notching the assist.
- St. Mary's nearly made it 2-0 with 5:38 left in the third quarter, but Washington's Tatum Schatt recorded her first career defensive save to keep it a one-goal game.
- In the fourth quarter, Kelly Emge made it 2-0 for the hosts as she finished off a pass from Kate Stevens with 11:42 left in the contest.
- Kat Esposito would get the Shorewomen on the board with 6:15 left in the game as she received a Julianna Sterling pass and put into the cage to cut the lead to one. It would be WC's last shot of the game however and was unable to get a chance for the equalizer.
