Box Score Towson, Md. – Senior midfielder James Strine scored twice to lead the visiting Washington College Shoremen to a 3-1 non-conference victory against the Goucher Gophers on Wednesday afternoon at Beldon Field. The Shoremen upped their record to 3-1-0 while the hosts fell to 0-3-1.

How It Happened
- Washington College jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 6th minute and never looked back. Junior midfielder Cole Gifford took a feed from senior forward Greg Adams and beat Gophers' goalkeeper Jeff Castro with his first marker of the season.
- Strine produced the first of his markers five minutes into the second-half. The unassisted tally turned out to be the game-winning goal, the fourth of his career.
- Strine struck for another unassisted goal with 10 minutes remaining, his fourth winner of the season.
- Goucher managed to get on the board with just under four minutes remaining as Jeremiah Odubade beat junior netminder Austin Heid off an assist by Ali Kazim Nakhid.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Anthony Pinto (win) played the first half and was not asked to make a save.
