BOSTON, Mass. – The Washington College women's rowing team concluded its fall season on Sunday on the Charles River in the Head of the Charles Regatta. The varsity eight competed in the Women's Collegiate Eights race.
In the race, the Shorewomen finished 31st out of 36 boats with a time of 18:08.149 going against competition from Division II and III. Division II Mercyhurst won the race with a time of 16:32.228.
"Our athletes had the opportunity to race with the top DII and DIII crews and went out and threw down the best race they had today," said head coach
Kari Hughes. "They achieved our top goal of racing aggressively from start to finish. They really came together today and have given us a great place from which to continue to build our speed and power. I'm excited to watch what they do over the winter and into the spring season as they have grown as individuals and as a team with every fall racing opportunity."
