Red Devils Edge Shorewomen in Season Finale, 1-0

Team Honors Seven Seniors Prior to Game

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Lauren Bracken scored the only goal of the game for visiting Dickinson in the 61st minute in a 1-0 win over host Washington College on Saturday evening on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in the regular season finale for both teams in Centennial Conference women's soccer action.  The Red Devils, who will be two seed in the upcoming Centennial Conference Tournament, are now 9-6-2 overall and 6-2-2 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen finish their season at 6-5-6 overall and 2-4-4 respectively.

How It Happened
- Dickinson's Meg Tate took the game's first two shots.  Her shot in the fourth minute went just wide to the right and her chance in the 22nd minute was wide left.
- Maddy Gaydon had Washington's first shot in the 34th minute, but it was wide right and the final shot of the first half.
- Gillian Slavick had WC's only shot on target 4:14 into the second half on a header, but it was saved by Red Devil keeper Sophia Kavulich.
- The Red Devils would get the lone goal of the contest with 29:30 left as Bracken scored on a header at the six into the upper middle portion of the goal as she received the ball from a header by Charlotte Glancey off of a corner kick by Katie Vassilakos.  Glancey and Vassilakos both recorded assists on the goal.
- Washington had three shots after the goal, but none were on target.  Ellen Daly took the final shot of the game with 9:10 to go, but it went high.

- Scorers: None
- Goalkeepers: Hailey Sharpe (2 saves, 1 goal allowed, 90:00) 
- Totaled seven shots and five corner kicks for the match. 

For Dickinson (9-6-2, 6-2-2 CC)
- Scorers: Bracken (goal), Glancey (assist), Vassilakos (assist)
- Goalkeeper: Kavulich (1 save, 0 goal allowed, 90:00)
- Took seven shots and three corner kicks in the contest.

Notes
- Slavick was named Goose Nation TV Shorewoman Player of the Game.
- The team honored Slavick, Rachel Chatfield, Elena Hilario, Katie King, Lauren Maynor, Ellie Morrall and Paige O'Connell prior to the game.
- The Shorewomen tallied their second winning season in program history, joining the 2018 squad that went 8-6-1.
