Red Devils Spoil Season Finale of Shorewomen in Four Sets

Maxwell Tallies 15 Kills in Career Finale

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Dickinson rallied from a first set loss to win the next three sets in a 3-1 (20-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-18) win over host Washington College on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference volleyball action at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium.  The Red Devils improve to 13-10 overall and 6-4 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen conclude their season at 10-14 and 2-8 respectively.

How It Happened
- Tied 15-15, Washington won the next three points to take control of the set on a Sylvia Johnson kill to make it 18-15.  An assisted block by Johnson and Logan Kenny ended the first set.
- The Red Devils would win by 11 in the second set with Sophia Denayer tallying a kill to tie the match at a set apiece.    
- In the third set, Dickinson scored six of the final eight points after the set was tied at 19-19.  Amelia Kim notched a kill to end the third.
- Dickinson overcame a 7-2 deficit in the fourth set to win by seven.  Kim gave the visitors the lead for the rest of the set on a kill to make it 12-11 and Emma Lange ended the contest with an ace.

For The Shorewomen (10-14, 2-8 CC)
- Courtney Maxwell (match-best 15 kills), Johnson (career-best 12 kills), Angelina Schaber (10 kills), Brooklynn Pugner (20 assists and four aces), Alison McKechnie (18 assists), Jordan Fairchild (11 digs), Victoria Kile (10 digs) 
- Team hit .187 in the match and registered three blocks and five aces.

For Dickinson (13-10, 6-4 CC)
- Emma Popham and Lange (team-high 14 kills), Kim (11 kills and 11 digs), Camille Dofiles (21 assists and 11 digs), Jordan Schucker (21 assists), Avery Lewis (six aces), Dessie Anne Nietert (match-best four blocks)
- The Red Devils hit .260 in the contest, had seven blocks and 14 aces.

Notes
- Maxwell played in her 67th and final career match this afternoon and was the team's lone senior in 2022.
