CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College opened the game with eight straight points and never trailed on its way to a 68-51 win over visiting Immaculata on Saturday afternoon at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium in non-conference women's basketball action. The Shorewomen improve to 6-2 overall, while the Mighty Macs drop to 5-4.

How It Happened
- Washington took an 8-0 lead with 7:08 to go in the first quarter on a layup by
Serena Pluta. The Shorewomen took a 21-8 lead into the second quarter
- The Shorewomen outscored the Mighty Macs in the second quarter, 19-13, with
Andrea Prestianne banking in a three to beat the buzzer giving WC a 40-21 lead at halftime.
- In the third quarter, Immaculata would get within 13 at 49-36 with 2:51 to go on a
Morgan Falcone jumper, but Washington scored six of the final eight points to take a 55-38 lead heading into the fourth.
Kiersten Rose canned a jumper with 13 ticks left to make it a 17-point game after three.
- The Shorewomen would push their lead to as many as 26 points, 64-38, with 7:06 left in the fourth quarter on a
Joy Sanders fast-break layup.
- Immaculata scored 13 of the last 17 points to provide the final margin.
