Senior sailor Stewart Gurnell (Old Saybrook, Conn., Xavier) is this week's Shoreman of the Week. Gurnell served as skipper in the winning A Division boat at the Riley Cup this weekend hosted by Old Dominion.

Gurnell and junior crew Kennedy Jones (Burke, Va., Christchurch School) led WC to victories in the first and 11th races, along with a pair of second and third place finishes. Washington finished with 65 points, three points better than second place Navy who finished with 68 points in the A Division. The division consisted of 16 boats.   

This is Gurnell's third career Shoreman of the Week honor.
