Freshman field hockey player Charlotte Schurman (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week.  Schurman did not allow a goal in the shootout in the Shorewomen's 2-1 win at McDaniel last Wednesday.

In the shootout, Schurman made saves on the first four shooters and then stole and cleared the ball on McDaniel's fifth and final shooter to preserve the 1-0 shootout win to give the Shorewomen the victory. It was WC's first-ever appearance in the shootout.  In regulation and overtime, she made four saves, including one with 5:10 left in the second overtime to keep the score tied at 1-1.

This is Schurman's first career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
