The coxswain and four rowers of the women's rowing team's freshmen four share this week's Shorewoman of the Week honor. The freshmen four earned bronze medals for Division III at the Head of the Schuylkill on October 28 in Philadelphia. The quintet share the award with Kylee Smith of women's swimming.
The freshmen four finished seventh overall out of 19 boats with a time of 16:55.596, beating out 10 Division I and a pair of Division III programs in their first race as a group. They earned the bronze by finishing third out of the Division III boats in the race.
The freshmen four consisted of freshman coxswain Mary Clymer (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton), freshman rower Caroline Derringer, freshman rower Reagan Klein (Fairfield, Conn./Brewster Academy [N.H.]), freshman rower Kelsey Sanderell and freshman rower Isabelle Wagner (Chestertown, Md./Gunston Day School).
This is the first career Shorewoman of the Week honor for all five rowers.
