Junior men's swimmer William Schmidt (Salisbury, Md./Wicomico) is this week's Shoreman of the Week. Schmidt won two events in the Shoremen's 153-106 win over visiting St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday afternoon.

Schmidt captured the 100-yard backstroke (54.18) and 200 individual medley (2:00.20) as Washington won its 11th straight meet over St. Mary's.

This is Schmidt's first career Shoreman of the Week honor.
