CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Freshman attacker
Mia Salvatierra (Bel Air, Md./Fallston) scored a game-high five goals to set her personal best as host Washington College never trailed in a 15-6 win over visiting Randolph-Macon on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference women's lacrosse game on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium. The Shorewomen are now 4-2 on the season, while the Yellow Jackets drop to 2-4.

How It Happened
- Salvatierra converted a free position score to give Washington a 3-0 lead with 9:13 to go in the first quarter.
- Randolph-Macon would counter with the next two goals to cut the lead to 3-2 after one quarter with
Evie McNeally scoring from
Rianna Lowery with 1:16 to go to trim it to a single score.
- The Shorewomen took command in the second quarter with a 5-0 stanza to lead 8-2 at halftime.
Abby Laubach began the scoring 49 seconds into the second on a feed from
Ellie Morrall and Laubach capped the scoring with 2:49 to go to make is a six-goal WC lead. Laubach had two goals and two helpers in the second.
- Washington netted the first three scores of the third quarter to lead 11-2 with 9:00 left on a Salvatierra free position up goal that capped an 8-0 run for the host Shorewomen.
- Salvatierra gave the Shorewomen a 10-goal cushion, 13-3, with 4:21 remaining after she got a rebound of her own free position shot. WC led 13-5 after three.
- In the fourth, WC outscored the Yellow Jackets 2-1 to provide the final margin.

- The Yellow Jackets went 17-for-19 in clears and had seven more turnovers than WC, 19-12.
- Randolph-Macon went 3-for-8 in free position chances and totaled 11 ground balls as they held a 15-10 advantage in draws.

- Washington is a perfect 3-0 at home this season, outscoring its opponents 39-20.
