HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Washington College women's tennis team won all 15 sets played as it opened its spring break trip with a 9-0 win over St. Mary's (Md.) on Wednesday morning at the Chaplin Park Tennis Center in non-conference women's tennis action.

Doubles
- The Shorewomen won 24 of 25 games in doubles to take a 3-0 lead. The WC duo of
Piper Sartison and
Irene Meng won 8-0 at No. 1 over St. Mary's
Amber Manspeaker and
Hannah Gorel. The next doubles match to finish was at third doubles as the Shorewomen's
Isabella Sorhegui and
Katie Ruppert captured an 8-0 win over
Georgia Kline and
Ellie Walter. The final doubles match to finish was at No. 2 and the tandem of
Eva Kading and
Soleil Namunyola bested the Seahawks'
Giselle Harris and
Sydney Anderson, 8-1.
Singles
- Ruppert won the first singles match to conclude at No. 5 as she prevailed, 6-0, 6-0, over Walter.
- Sartison clinched the match for the Shorewomen as she swept Gorel, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1.
- Namunyola cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Anderson at third singles in the next match to finish.
- Sorhegui came away with a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 6 over the Seahawks'
Bella Sterner.

Bin Nguyen did not lose a point in a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at the four spot over Harris.
- Kading completed the shut out win for Washington as she won 6-4, 6-2 versus Manspeaker.
Notes
- The Shorewomen are 2-4 on the season, while the Seahawks are 2-3.
- Washington and St. Mary's played for the first time since a 7-2 WC win on March 4, 2017.
