BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Washington College women's lacrosse team travelled to Bryn Mawr for a Centennial Conference showdown against the Owls. It was the Owls who scored first through a Maddie Sullivan goal in the opening two minutes. The Shorewomen rebounded with six straight goals from
Mia Salvatierra (2),
Ellie Morrall (2) and
Tobin Chambers (2) to take a commanding lead. The Owls fought back to bring the score to 7-5, but a pair of Shorewomen goals in the final five minutes were enough to hold on for the win.Â

How It Happened
- The Owls took the opening lead halfway through the second minute of the game.
Ellie Morrall quickly tied the game back up before a pair of
Mia Salvatierra gaols gave the Shorewomen a 3-1 lead at the end of one.Â

-In the second,
Tobin Chambers notched the only two goals to make it 5-1 at half.
Ellie Morrall then opened up the third period with a goal to make it 6-1.  The Owls added two goals in the third to make it 6-3 but
Mia Salvatierra notched her third to make it 7-3 heading into the fourth period.Â

-Two more Owl goals made it tight once against as the Shorewomen lead 7-5 with under five minutes remaining.
Anna Wilson then scored to give the Shorewomen a three goal lead. In the final minute,
Ellie Morrall notched her third goal of the game and point number 100 for her Washington career. Â

Ellie Morrall notched career point number 100 with the final goal of the game and became the 32nd player in team history to achieve the milestone. Washington now moves to 26-0 vs the Owls, the most wins against one opponent for the program.Â
