How It Happened
- Washington got onto the board 32 seconds into the game on a Chambers score from Ashley Devlin.

- Finkelstein scored the only goal of the second quarter with 2:30 to go for the Garnet to trim the guests' lead to 3-2 and that would be the halftime score.
- Swarthmore would level it at 3-3 at the 4:14 mark in the third with Finkelstein netting her third of the game.  It would start a run of three goals in 100 seconds as Isabela Bloomquist scored seven seconds after Finkelstein's tying score to give the home team its first lead of the game, 4-3, and Bloomquist would put the Garnet ahead by two with 9:06 to go in the third quarter.
- Bloomquist would score again to give the hosts a 6-3 lead with 6:47 left.
- Washington would get one back before the end of the quarter with 1:36 remaining as Sutherland cashed in on a free position to trim the deficit to 6-4.
- Anna Wilson would score off of a rebound 3:22 into the fourth and it was a one goal game, 6-5.
- Devlin earned a free position shot from the top of the eight-meter and would level the contest at 6-6 with 8:16 to go.
- The winning goal by Chambers came on a pass from Sutherland exactly four minutes later and WC had its first lead since early in the third, 7-6.
- Swarthmore had one shot in the final 4:16 and it came from Emma Holub and it went wide with 2:20 left.
- The Garnet would turn it over with 1:45 to go and the Shorewomen were able to run the clock down to 15 seconds before a shot-clock violation.
- Swarthmore, who had to go the full length of the field, was unable to get the ball into the attacking zone before the clock expired and Washington came away with a one-goal win.
