CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Director of Sports Medicine, Matt An, announces hiring of Athletic Trainer Nicki Crouch to the Washington College Sports Medicine Staff.
"Nicki is a great addition to the sports medicine team," said An. "She brings a passion for sports along with the well-being of the student athletes with a unique background in mental health. I am excited to see her bring her experiences to our student athletes!"
Nicki Crouch was born and raised in Colorado, where she completed her undergraduate degree at Colorado State University in 2015. From there, she attended University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and earned a Master of Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling in 2017.
While she still has a passion for mental health, Nicki realized that her passions included physical health as well and decided to go back to school. Crouch graduated from University of Central Florida with her Master of Athletic Training this past spring. During her graduate program she interned with Apopka High School working with their football team and helped the Blue Darters all the way to the State Championships. Nicki also spent a semester rotating through with the UCF football, rowing, track & field/ cross country, and men's soccer teams. Her last year of the program was spent with Orlando City Soccer and included a Lamar Hunt Open Cup Championship!
Nicki is a Certified American Red Cross Professional Rescuer and a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association as well as the Maryland Athletic Trainers Association. She will be working with the Men's Soccer, Women's Basketball, Women's Lacrosse, Men's Rowing, and Women's Tennis programs.
