Trap & Skeet Downs Navy in Dual Match

Clark Leads All Competitors with 92 Targets Hit

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The visiting Washington College trap and skeet team (WCTS) defeated host Navy, 420-404, in a dual match on Saturday at the Naval Academy Duals. Junior Hunter Clark of Washington captured high overall honors.

Washington College Highlights
- The two teams competed in Trap 1, Trap 2 and Doubles Trap. 
- Clark hit 92 total targets, hitting 48 total in the two traps, 25 in Trap 1 and 23 in Trap 2.  In Doubles Trap, he had 44 targets hit.  He was five targets better than his teammate Gage Williams and Navy's Gaskins. 
- Kate Opielski was the top women's competitor, hitting 73 total targets (19 Trap 1, 22 Trap 2 and 32 Doubles Trap).   
- Joining Clark, Williams and Opielski in scoring for Washington was Chris Johnson (85 total targets) and Max McNulty Van Oordt (83 total targets).
