CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Muhlenberg closed out the game on an 11-3 run to turn a 53-51 deficit into a 62-56 win on Saturday afternoon over host Washington College on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference men's basketball action on Finnegan Court at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium.  The Mules improve to 4-8 overall and 3-2 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen fall to 3-9 and 1-4 respectively.

How It Happened
- The Mules scored the game's first seven points to take a 7-0 lead just 3:19 into the game on two Brandon Goldberg.
- Washington would come back to tie the game at 13-13 with 10:08 to go in the first half on a three-pointer by Jason Zielinski.
- Goldberg would give Muhlenberg a 32-30 lead at halftime by converting a layup with 27 ticks left in the stanza.
- In the second half, Zielinski would put the Shoremen ahead for the first time with 6:51 left, 47-45, on a three that capped a 10-2 run for the home team.
- Kedrick Frink gave WC its last lead of the game, 53-51, on a layup with 4:15 to go before Muhlenberg's Jayson Williams-Johnson answered with a jumper in the paint with 3:22 left.
- Peter Stanton-Shepherd drained a jumper with 2:35 remaining to give the Mules the lead for good at 55-53 to highlight a run of nine unanswered points for the visitors.
- Goldberg would cap the game deciding run on two free throws with 17 seconds left to make it 60-53 Muhlenberg.
- A Davis Bland three for Washington followed by two Giovanni Rubino free throws closed out the scoring in the game.

For The Shoremen (3-9, 1-4 CC)
- Frink (game-high and season-best 25 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals), Precieux Tshibangu (seven rebounds and two blocks), Zielinski and Zack Skrocki (two steals)
- The Shoremen shot 38% (21-for-55) from the floor, 43% (9-for-21) from three-point range and 45% (5-for-11) from the foul line. 
- Washington had eight turnovers in the game, while outscoring Muhlenberg in points in the paint (24-20), points off turnovers (9-3), second chance points (9-8), transition points (3-0) and bench points (11-7).

For Muhlenberg (4-8, 3-2 CC)
- Goldberg (15 points and game-best 13 rebounds), Stanton-Shepherd (15 points and three blocks), Rubino (14 points), Luke Gordos (four assists), Williams-Johnson and Drew Greene (three steals)
- The Mules shot 33% (18-for-54) from the floor, 26% (6-for-21) from three-point range and 74% (20-for-27) from the free throw stripe.    
- Muhlenberg had eight turnovers in the contest, while holding a 45-32 advantage on the glass.

Notes
- Frink was named the Goose Nation TV Shoreman Player of the Game.  It was his fifth game of 20 or more points this season.
