Washington College 3 DeSales 0
How It Happened
- Both teams came out aggressive, the Bulldogs collecting their five shots of the half in the first 13 minutes.
- The Shorewomen would not record their first shot until the 24th minute of play. Reagan Longridge's shot went wide right. Dahlia Kuzemka had the last shots of the half in the 43rd and 44th minute. Her first shot was blocked by a DeSales defender and her second went wide left.
- In the second half, Kailiegh Brady had an open look at the goal as the Bulldogs goalie came out to try and pick the ball up, but Brady was able to get a foot on it before she reached her, but the shot scooted just left of the goal.
- Brady with redemption on her mind, received a pass from Grace Morris and was able to find open space on her dribble and rip a shot from just about 20 yards out. The ball soared over the goalkeeper's head and the Shorewomen were on the board, 1-0.
- Brady recorded three shots in the span of a minute and a half trying to put the Shorewomen up another point. Two were just missed to the right and high of the goal. The other was on a free kick just outside of the box that went high.
- She did not stop in her hunt to put the Shorewomen up as she made a forward pass up to Sophie Killbride who was able to beat her defender in one step and strike a shot from the right side of the box. The shot skated by the left side of the goalie and put the Shorewomen up 2-0.
- Six minutes later off a corner kick by Kuzemka, Longridge was able to tap the ball right into the net as she lined up on the goal line. The ball from Kuzemka bounced off the Bulldogs' defender and landed right at the feet of Longridge for the third goal of the night for the Shorewomen.
- The Shorewomen would take four more shots in the half and hold the Bulldogs to only three for the whole second half. The Shorewomen would take the game 3-0.
