COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Visiting Washington College scored 11 minutes into the first half for the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over host Ursinus on Saturday afternoon at Patterson Field in a Centennial Conference men's soccer contest. The Shoremen improved to 5-2-4 overall and 2-1-1 in the Centennial with a two-game winning streak in CC play, while the Bears are now 6-4-1 and 0-4-0 respectively.

How It Happened
- Washington scored exactly 11 minutes into the first half as
Yasir German scored his second goal in as many games with
Tshazi Kamau and
Jordan Waiganjo netting the assists.
- The Shoremen outshot the Bears in the opening 45 minutes 7-2 to take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break. WC took five of the six shots on target in the first half.
- In the second half, the Bears outshot the Shoremen 8-1 and 5-1 in shots on target, but could not get the tying score.
- Ursinus had two shots in the final 77 seconds to try to get the equalizer. The first shot was stopped by WC goalie
Anthony Pinto with 1:17 left and the second shot in the waning seconds was off to the right and the Shoremen held on for the win.
