Swarthmore, PA – Shorewomen Volleyball fall to the Garnet of Swarthmore in three sets Wednesday night.

How It Happened 

• The first set was the largest win margin for the Garnet as they took the set 25-14. The Shorewomen earned nine kills to the Garnet's thirteen and only hit .100 during the set and could not gain more than two points in a row.
• In the second set, Washington College went up 6-2 early. Two offensive errors gave the ball back to the Garnet. The Shorewomen held their lead until 15-15 when the Garnet began to make their comeback. A kill by Lyndsey Wessel was the last point of the set for the Shorewomen as they fell in the second set 25-21.  
• In the final set, the Shorewomen fell behind early. They trailed 17-6 until two kills by Allison McKechnie and one by Giselle Kleinbussink gave the Shorewomen points back, they still trailed 17-8. The Shorewomen went on a four-point run to bring the score to 20-15 thanks to three errors by the Garnet. The Shorewomen were able to bring the score to one, 23-22 late in the set, but an ace by Gianna Romano would be the last point the Shorewomen would see in the game as they forfeited the last set 25-22.
