Shorewomen Lacrosse 2025 Season Preview

 Chestertown, MD- Shorewomen Lacrosse will return to action in 2025 beginning with a home matchup against Marywood on February 15. The team will look to make their return to the postseason after reaching the second round of the Centennial Conference playoffs in 2024. 
 
Last Season:
The Shorewomen returned to the Centennial Conference playoffs after going 11-7 overall, 5-4 in Conference action. In a postseason rematch with Muhlenberg, the squad downed the Mules 17-9, before ending their season in Gettysburg, falling 20-6 to the Bullets. 2024 was the first season at the helm for head coach Meghan Lewis.
 
Returning for the Shorewomen:
Mia Salvatierra led the way for the team with 42 goals and 65 total points, including three game winners. The junior also added 23 assists off 103 shots.
Senior Tobin Chambers found the back of the net 38 times in 2024, including a pair of game winners. Chambers also fielded 18 ground balls.
Anna Wilson added 29 goals in her second year with Washington College, alongside 49 draw controls.
In goal for the Shorewomen, senior McKenna Seashole made all 18 starts, playing for over a thousand minutes and tallying 203 saves.   
 
From Head Coach Meghan Lewis:
"We are really excited about the 2025 season ahead. Looking to build off the success from last year, we've added some challenging out of conference opponents including a spring break trip to Florida in March. The Centennial Conference is one of the premier conferences in Division III Women's Lacrosse and we are looking forward to competing against such a strong set of teams."
 
Key games:
The Shorewomen go on the road to take on the Salisbury Sea Gulls on March 1. Also in March, the team will play two games in Florida, taking on St. John Fisher on March 9, and Widener on March 11. Centennial Conference play will kick off on March 22, when the Shorewomen will go to Dickinson College. The first home Conference game will be against Ursinus on April 2. To conclude the regular season, the team will have their rematch with Gettysburg, with a road battle on April 26.
