CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College outscored visiting Dickinson, 12-8, in overtime to come away with a 70-66 victory on Saturday afternoon at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. With the win and other results across the conference today, the Shorewomen secured their third straight trip to the conference tournament. The Shorewomen are now 13-10 overall and 10-8 in the Centennial, while the Red Devils are now 16-7 overall and 13-5 in the conference.

How It Happened
- Dickinson scored 10 of the game's first 14 points to lead 10-4 with 6:49 left in the first quarter on a
Clair Marion three. The Red Devils led 20-16 after one quarter.
- In the second quarter, Dickinson would push its lead to 12 points, 35-23, with 2:43 left in the stanza on a
Jenna Weinstein jumper. The Shorewomen would score seven of the final nine points of the second to reduce the lead to 37-30 at halftime.
- After Dickinson scored the opening two points of the third on two
Lindsey Hollenshead free throws, WC scored the next 14 points to take a 44-39 lead with 3:27 left on a
Kiersten Rose jumper.
Kaitlyn Boggs put the home side ahead on a layup with 7:26 to go.
- Washington took a 49-44 lead into the fourth quarter as Dickinson missed all 14 field goal attempts in the third.
- The Red Devils would tie the game at 56-56 with 2:07 left in the fourth quarter on a Weinstein layup and took the lead with 1:02 to go on a
Victoria Zerbe jumper at 58-56.
- Boggs would level the game at 58-58 with seven seconds left on a lay-in. Dickinson's chance to win the game with a second left on a jumper by Marion was off the mark and the game would go to overtime.
- In overtime, with the game tied at 63-63 following a triple by Dickinson's Hollenshead,
Kaleigh White would put the Shorewomen ahead for good on a three of her own with 56 seconds left, 66-63.
- Washington would can four free throws to extend its lead to 70-63 before a
Caitlin Blackman three with 10 ticks left cut the lead to 70-66 and provided the final margin.
For The Shorewomen (13-10, 10-8 CC)
- Pluta (21 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks), Boggs and
Karry Kelliher (12 points),

- WC shot 52% from the floor (23-for-44), 67% from three-point range (4-for-6) and 63% (20-for-32) from the foul line in the game.
- The Shorewomen turned it over 24 times, while holding the edge on the glass, 46-37.
- WC outscored Dickinson in points in the paint, 30-14.
For Dickinson (9-3, 6-1 CC)
- Marion (18 points, six steals and six assists), Hollenshead (18 points, 12 boards and two blocks), Zerbe (10 points),
- The Red Devils shot 31% from the floor (22-for-72), 27% from three-point land (9-for-34) and 54% from the foul stripe (13-for-24).
- Dickinson had 12 turnovers in the game.
- The guests outscored the hosts, 12-10, in bench points, transition points, 4-2, second chance points, 8-4, and 27-13 in points off turnovers.
Notes
- Pluta and White shared the Goose Nation TV Shorewoman Player of the Game award. They were both honored prior to the game on Senior Day.
- This will be Washington's fifth trip to the tournament as it went previously in 1995, 1999, 2022 and 2023.
- Five teams have secured spots in the upcoming conference tournament – Gettysburg, Johns Hopkins, Dickinson, Washington and Ursinus. Dickinson has locked up the three seed and is the only team who knows what seed it will be. The six-team tournament starts on February 20 at Dickinson and the four seed.
