- In the second quarter, Morgan Sutherland would give WC a 9-4 lead with 5:36 to go before Drew rolled off three straight goals to cut the lead to 9-7 with 1:52 to go on a Mary Kate Davidson goal.
- That's as close as Drew would get as Washington scored twice in the in the final 69 seconds to take an 11-7 lead into halftime.  Ashley Devlin scored from Salvatierra with 1:09 left to make it 10-7 and Salvatierra scored on a buzzer beater to end the second from Devlin with no time left to make it 11-7 at halftime.

- Washington's prior high in a season opener was 20 to start the 1983 season on March 22 in a 20-7 win over Essex Community College.  However, it is not the most in a home opener as Washington scored 24 against Susquehanna in 2014 in a 10-goal win in the team's second game that season.
- Anson's 10 draws are one off the program record, shared by Laubach and Emily Hubley '15 (11).
- WC won its third straight season opener, topping Stevenson, 16-8, in 2022 and besting FDU-Flormah, 17-4, last year.
- Devlin is now within three points of 100 with 97 all-time points.
