LEXINGTON, Va. – Host #13 Washington and Lee got out to a 10-3 halftime lead on its way to a 17-9 win over visiting Washington College in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at Wilson Field. The Generals improve to 1-1 on the season, while the Shoremen fall to 0-2.

Alex Brown gave the Generals a 2-0 lead with 6:31 left in the first quarter on a feed from
Elliot Cohen to cap a run of two scores in 14 seconds as
Joey Allen scored from
James Haley for the first goal of the game.

Ben Dickinson would get the Shoremen on the board with 2:46 to go in the opening stanza to cut it to 2-1 before Hailey scored from Allen with 1:34 to go in the first to give Washington and Lee a two-goal lead, 3-1, after one.Â
-In the second quarter, W&L scored seven of the first eight goals to take a 10-2 lead with 7:34 left on an Allen goal from
Hillis Burns.
- Dickinson would tally his second of the game for Washington with 1:33 left to trim the lead to 10-3 at halftime.
- Washington and Lee held a 3-2 advantage in the third quarter to push its lead to 13-5 after 45 minutes.
- Both sides scored four times in the fourth to provide the final margin.
