Radnor, PA. – The Shoremen split with Cabrini Sunday afternoon 21-8 and 7-6. The Shoremen scored 27 runs off of 30 hits for the day against the Cavaliers.
GAME 1: Washington College 21 Cabrini 8
How It Happened
- Cabrini started off the game hitting a triple, a double, and two singles to go up 3-0 in the bottom of the first.
- The Shoremen didn't score until the top of the third thanks to a Ty Everitt double to center field and a wild pitch by Kraiza got him home. The Shoremen still trailed 5-1.
- Cabrini scored five more runs in the top of the fourth to put them up 8-1 going into the bottom of the inning. The Shoremen took charge, Pete Kokinis singled to center field and then advanced to second on the throw to start it off. Logan Yi Tallied an RBI with a single to center field, sending Everitt home. Chase Ruppel doubled to left center field allowing Will Turner scored after he got on base after getting hit by a pitch.
- A pitching change for Cabrini didn't help much as Drew Kinsey doubled to center putting the Shoremen up 9-8 leaving the fourth.
- Two singles from Yi and Turner and a pair of doubles from Zach Stolze and Kokinis secured the Shoremen a comfortable lead in the bottom of the fifth 15-8.
- A three run Kinsey homerun in the bottom of the sixth sealed the deal for the Shoremen as they ended the game with a comfortable 13 run lead.

GAME 2: Washington College 6 Cabrini 7
How It Happened
- Washington had the first score of the game in the top of the third. An Everitt single up the middle allowed Dino DiMauro scored after he had singled the at bat prior. Singles by Yi and Ruppel allowed the Shoremen to claim the lead 3-0.
- A Cole McGee triple to center field followed by a Kokinis ground out to the shortstop put another run on the board in the fourth.
- Turner doubled and Yi singled in the first two at bats for the Shoremen putting them in perfect scoring position for Ruppel as his 2 RBI single put the Shoremen up 5-0.
- Cabrini was able to catch up in the sixth tallying five runs off of three hits to almost tie it up 6-5. Cabrini put it away in the seventh, holding the Shoremen to one hit and three singles from Colon, Dickerson, and Dipper in the bottom of the seventh allowed them to end the game ahead 7-6.
