How It Happened
- Dickinson took a 3-0 lead after one quarter with
Emma Wynne scoring a free position with 1:15 to go to give the Red Devils a three-goal advantage after one.
- Washington would score 15 of the next 20 goals to take a 15-8 lead late in the third quarter on an

-
Mia Salvatierra would put Washington ahead for the first time at 6-5 with 1:55 left in the second and would cap the three scores in the last 1:55 of the second to give the home side a three-goal lead with just two ticks to go in the second.
- Leading 10-7 with 9:27 left in the third following a
Delaney Herbert free position tally for the road team, the Shorewomen scored the next four to take a 14-7 lead with 3:52 to go on a Laubach free position strike.

- Wynne would find Herbert with 3:40 remaining in the fourth quarter and it was a one-goal game, 16-15.
- Dickinson would completely erase the seven-goal deficit 1:20 left in regulation on a Geary score from Barroll to level it at 16-16.
- Washington would win the draw and have the last chance of regulation, but a turnover with six seconds left ended the chance and the game would go to overtime.
- The draw control to start overtime would end up in the Washington offensive zone and Salvatierra picked it up.  Salvatierra would pass it to Laubach, who found Anson, who got behind the defense, a few yards from the crease and Anson's shot found the upper left corner of the goal for the golden goal and walk-off score.
