Chestertown, MD – Women's Tennis defeated by #7 Johns Hopkins in their first match Saturday Morning. They return the favor in the afternoon to fellow Centennial opponent Dickinson 8-1.

Match 1: Washington College 0 Johns Hopkins 9

Doubles

• Doubles #1 - Eva Kading and  Soleil Namunyola were swept in their doubles match 8-0.
• Doubles #2 - Isabella Sorhegui and Piper Sartison fell in their doubles match 8-2. 
• Doubles #3 - Mary Beth Hurley and Catharina Ausfahl of Johns Hopkins got an automatic win in their doubles match. 

Singles

• Singles #1 Eva Kading fell in her singles match 8-2.
• Singles #2 Piper Sartison was swept in her singles match 8-0.
• Singles #3 Soleil Namunyola also fell 8-0.
• Singles #4 Isabella Sorhegui put up one point against her singles opponent but was defeated 8-1.
• Singles #5 & #6 Bea Manjon and Ashley Chang of Johns Hopkins got an automatic win in their singles matches due to a Washington forfeit.  

Match 2: Washington College 8 Dickinson 1

Doubles

• Doubles #1 - Eva Kading and  Soleil Namunyola did the sweeping this go around in their doubles match 8-0.
• Doubles #2 - Isabella Sorhegui and Piper Sartison defeated their competition 8-3.
• Doubles #3 - Carrie Lord and María Cristina Diaz Nazario made their mark on senior day sweeping in their doubles match 8-0.

Singles

• Singles #1 Piper Sartison outlasted her opponent 6-1 and 6-2.
• Singles #2 Eva Kading almost swept her competition as she won her singles match in two 6-0 and 6-1.
• Singles #3 Soleil Namunyola won her singles match in two 6-3 and 6-3.
• Singles #4 María Cristina Diaz Nazario only gave up one point in her singles match and took down her opponent in two 6-1 and 6-0.
• Singles #5 Isabella Sorhegui took down her opponent 6-1 and 6-2.
• Singles #6 Carrie Lord fell in her singles match, the last of the day 8-4.

Notes
The Shorewomen have a  57.1% winning percentage against conference opponents. They are 4-3 when they face other Centennial teams.
