CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting #33 Haverford bested host Washington College, 8-1, on Tuesday afternoon at the Schottland Tennis Center in Centennial Conference women's tennis action.

Doubles
- The Fords took all three in doubles to take a 3-0 lead heading into singles. Third doubles was awarded to
Summer Williams and
Sriya Krishnan due to forfeit as Washington could not field a team. The top flight was next to conclude and Haverford's
Erika Phanord and
Annie Barrett came away with an 8-2 victory over
Soleil Namunyola and
Eva Kading. No. 2 doubles was the final one to finish and it was an 8-4 win the Fords' for
Rachael Fitzgerald and
Abihishree Menon against
Piper Sartison and
Isabella Sorhegui.
Singles
- Williams at No. 6 and Barrett at No. 5 were awarded wins as the Shorewomen could not field players at either spot.
- Fitzgerald downed Sartison, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 1 in the first match to finish that was played.
- Namunyola would give the Shorewomen their lone win of the match with a 6-2, 6-4 result against Menon at No. 3.
- Phanord got by Sorhegui, 6-2, 6-3, at four singles in the second to last match to be completed.
- In the last match to finish, Krishnan won at No. 2 versus Kading, 6-2, 7-5.
Notes
- The Shorewomen are 5-11 on the season, while the Fords, ranked 33rd nationally and ninth in the Atlantic South Region are 10-5 on the season. WC is 4-4 in the conference, while Haverford is 7-1 in the Centennial and clinched a first-round bye in the upcoming conference tournament with the win.
