CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Muhlenberg scored five unanswered goals during the first and second quarters and would not trail the rest of the game in an 11-8 win over host Washington College in a Centennial Conference women's lacrosse game on Saturday afternoon at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr., Stadium. The Mules improve to 9-2 overall and 2-2 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen drop to 7-5 and 1-3 respectively.Â

How It Happened
- Washington would take a 3-2 lead with 5:06 to go in the first quarter on a free position goal from
Abby Laubach.
- The Mules would respond with the game-decisive 5-0 run to take the lead for good at 7-3 with 7:15 to go in the second quarter. The first two goals were scored in the first as Emily Vaughan tied it with 1:48 to go on a pass from Lily Seifert and Ava Milia put the visitors in front for the rest of the game, 4-3, with 18 ticks to go.
- Muhlenberg would score the first three of the second to lead 7-3 with 7:15 left before halftime on a
Nicole Steiner goal from
Jillian Kubikowski.
- WC would get two of the last three goals of the second to cut the lead to 8-5 at halftime with
Piper Evans scoring a down goal with 25.9 ticks left.
- In the third quarter, Washington scored the only two goals to trim the deficit to a single goal, 8-7, after three with
Anna Wilson scoring
Elisabeth Braswell with 1:33 to go.
- WC would open the fourth with four shots to try to tie it in the first 39 seconds of the quarter, but could not tie it

- On Muhlenberg's next possession, Kubikowski would earn a free position and scored to make it 9-7 with 12:44 to go and would score again with 10:35 left to give the road side a three-goal edge.
- Wilson scored from Laubach with 7:11 left to get it back to two at 10-8, but Milia would answer unassisted with 3:14 remaining to make it 11-8 and provide the final margin.
