CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Susquehanna scored both of its goals in the first quarter and withstood a late goal from host Washington College to net a 2-1 win on Saturday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium. The River Hawks are now 2-2 on the season, while the Shorewomen fall to 2-3.

How It Happened
- Susquehanna scored 8:07 into the first quarter on a tip-in to take a 1-0 lead.
- With 43 seconds left in the opening quarter, the River Hawks made it 2-0 on a crossing pass that was poked into the cage. Susquehanna led 2-0 after a quarter.
- In the fourth quarter,
Kat Esposito's shot beat the goalie on a counter, but it did not beat a River Hawk defender for a defensive save with 12:09 to go in the game.
- Esposito would get the Shorewomen on the board with 2:25 to go in the game off of a rebound of a
MaryCate Anson shot that rang off the left post. Esposito got behind the Susquehanna defense and put the ball into an empty cage.
- WC was unable to get another shot off and Susquehanna held on for the win.
