How It Happened
- Washington College outshot Randolph-Macon 9-4 in the first half. Kaileigh Brady led the Shorewomen with three shots, but all three were off target.
- Audrey MacNair had a look at the goal in the 23rd minute of play, but her shot went right into the hands of the Yellow Jackets goalie.
- Randolph-Macon had a look at a wide-open goal in the 44th minute of the half, but missed wide left as Amity Harrington was able to clear it out for the Shorewomen defense.
- Olivia Allen recorded two saves in the half, one in the 21st minute was the closest look for the Yellow Jackets of the half.
- Back-to-back shots from Sophie Kilbride were saved by the Yellow Jacket goalie to start the second half.
- The first goal of the game for either team came in the 60th minute as Maddy Gaydon was able to put one low and away past the Yellow Jacket goalie off a rebounded shot attempt by Reagan Longridge that hit the crossbar.
- A very similar play came two minutes later as two more Shorewomen got two shots off. The first shot was by Kilbride hit the right post. Unlike the first play, Kayla Streett's header attempt off the rebound went wide right.
- The Yellow Jackets tied it up in the 70th minute of play off a long pass forward and a tap in right pass Allen in goal.
- The Shorewomen had one final look at the goal with 18 seconds left, but the shot by Kayla Streett was missed high right. The Shorewomen drew with Randolph-Macon 1-1.
