Senior field hockey player
Kat Esposito (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Esposito scored all three goals for the Shorewomen in a pair of games this week, including the walk-off goal in a win over #16 Shenandoah.
In a 2-1 overtime win over #16 Shenandoah on Tuesday night, Esposito scored the winner 2:40 into the extra period to give the team a win over the #16 ranked team for the second straight year. The senior put the Shorewomen ahead 1-0 in the second quarter on a penalty stroke. On Saturday against visiting Susquehanna, she scored the team's goal in the fourth quarter. With her goal against Susquehanna, Esposito moved into fourth place in team history in goals (35) and fifth place in the history of the program in points (75).
This is Esposito's third career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
