CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Sophomore midfielder
Tshazi Kamau (Nairobi, Kenya/High Mowing School [N.H.]) scored the lone goal of the game with 9:55 into the second half as host Washington College edged visiting King's (Pa.) 1-0 on Wednesday night in a non-conference men's soccer game on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium. The Shoremen are 3-1-3 on the season, while the Monarchs are 3-2-1.

How It Happened
- In the third minute,
Tucker Sprano rang the game's initial shot off of the right post after it was deflected by a King's defender.
- With 5:20 to go in the opening half,
Michael Daniello had his shot go off the left post.
- The Monarchs had the last shot on goal in the opening half with just over four minutes to go, but
Cole White was able to save the high popup shot.
- In the second half, Kamau received a pass from Sprano and his initial shot was saved by the King's goalie, but Kamau got the rebound and put it into the lower left corner of the goal to put the Shoremen ahead for the rest of the game with 35:05 to go.
- King's had two chances to try to tie it, but could not dent the scoreboard. The final chance came with 39 seconds to go, but the shot from the top of the 18 sailed over the goal and WC ran out the clock.
