Freshman women's soccer player
Lily Barnum (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Barnum factored into two of the team's three goals in a 2-0-0 week and achieved something no Shorewomen Soccer player had ever done, scoring the game-winning goal against Johns Hopkins.
In Saturday's 2-1 victory over the #23 Blue Jays in Baltimore, the team's first against Johns Hopkins, the freshman netted the game-winning goal on Saturday with 10:49 to go in the game to give WC a 2-1 lead to complete a counter with
Kaileigh Brady and
Sophie Kilbride recording assists on the tally. It was the first career score for Barnum as the score gave WC its first all-time lead in the series. In Wednesday's 1-0 win versus Ursinus, Barnum tallied the assist on the goal by Brady in the 39th minute.
This is Barnum's first career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
