CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Virginia Wesleyan topped host Washington College, 4-3, in the fall finale for Shoremen Tennis in a non-conference men's tennis match on Saturday afternoon at the Schottland Tennis Center.

Doubles
- The Marlins captured all three doubles matches to secure the point for doubles. Third doubles concluded first in a 6-1 win for the guests over the Shoremen's duo of
Oskar Wroblewski and
Sihoo Kim. The second contest to end was the top flight and it was a 6-4 score for Virginia Wesleyan over the Washington tandem of
Tichi Chialva and
Maxi Synnestvedt. Second doubles was also a 6-4 result for the Marlins against the home side's
Petter Storberg and
Jorge Urgal Zuleta.
Singles
- Fourth singles was the first singles match to conclude and it was a 6-1, 6-1 score for the Marlins against Urgal Zuleta.
- The next match to come to a close was second singles and Virginia Wesleyan netted a 6-2, 6-1 result versus
Demir Isiker.
- Chialva picked up WC's first win with a 6-4 first set win and was leading 3-1 before the opponent had to retire.
- No. 1 singles was the clinching match for the guests against Kim by scores of 6-2, 7-5.
- Fifth singles was the second to last contest to end with Perkins getting a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
- Synnestvedt overcame a 6-1 first set loss to win the next two by scores of 6-3, 6-0 at six singles.

- Washington is now 0-1 on the season and Virginia Wesleyan is 1-2.
