CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College closed out its fall portion of the schedule with a 5-2 win over visiting Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon at Schottland Tennis Center in non-conference women's tennis action.

Doubles
- The Shorewomen took all three doubles from the Marlins to net the doubles point. The top flight finished first and it was WC's
Eva Kading and
Soleil Namunyola securing doubles with a 6-4 victory. Second doubles finished second with the team of
Jayda Browne and
Jess Wilde coming away with a 6-4 result at second doubles. The third team of
Gaby Coutts and
Isabella Sorhegui won 7-6, winning 7-5 in the tiebreaker.
Singles
- The Shorewomen took the first match in singles to conclude at No. 4, a 6-1, 6-3 victory for Kading.
- Virginia Wesleyan got its first point at No. 3 in a 6-1, 6-4 score against Browne.
- Wilde took home the triumph at No. 5 in a 7-5, 6-3 decision.
- Sorhegui clinched the match for the home side in a pair of 6-4 results at No. 2.

Samy Fawzi Sanchez notched a 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 victory at No. 5 singles for Washington.
- Virginia Wesleyan got a win in the final match to finish at first singles, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, against Namunyola.
