Box Score Chestertown, MD- The Washington College Women's Soccer team fell to the 13th ranked Garnet of Swarthmore 2-0. The Garnet outshot the Shorewomen 19-11.
The Shorewomen look to clinch a spot in the Centennial Conference Playoffs on Saturday against Gettysburg.

How It Happened
- Maddy Gaydon had the first shot attempt for the Shorewomen five minutes into the first half. Her attempt was blocked by a Swarthmore defender on the right side of the goal.
- With 25 left to play in the first, Emily Kopanicak was wide open on the right side of the goal. She took a shot from 30 yards outside of the goal. Her shot was just right, but was the best look at a score for the Shorewomen thus far.
- Off the Shorewomen's first corner attempt, Brianna Gavini had a header attempt that just barely glided past the right goal post.
- Swarthmore scored first in the 38th minute of the game.
- Almost ten minutes into the second half, Maddy Gaydon took a shot at the goal amongst Swarthmore defenders. Her shot rebounded off the crossbar and found Bridget Whiteside who took a second shot, her attempt just wide left of the goal.
- Swarthmore scored in the 61st minute of the game to go up 2-0 over the Shorewomen.
- Heidi Tine, Kopinicak, and Mackenzie Coupe each had a look at the goal, but came out short as the Shorewomen fell to Swarthmore, 2-0.
