Sophomore women's soccer player Ava Loretz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Loretz helped the Washington College defense yield just one goal and scored the game at DeSales on Wednesday in a 2-0-0 week for the Shorewomen.

On Wednesday in a 2-1 at DeSales, the sophomore scored the game-winning goal with 5:36 to go in the game on a chip shot from 25 yards away after receiving a pass from Sophie Kilbride to snap a 1-1 tie. The score was also her first career goal.In Saturday's 1-0 win over visiting Haverford, Loretz was part of a Shorewomen defensive unit that allowed only two shots on target.

This is Loretz's first career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
