CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Junior midfielder/forward Kaileigh Brady (Hockessin, Del./St. Mark's) scored the only goal of the game late in the first half from freshman forward Lily Barnum (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) as host Washington College got past visiting Ursinus 1-0 on Wednesday evening on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in Centennial Conference women's soccer action.  The Shorewomen are now 7-3-1 overall and 2-2-0 in the Centennial, while the Bears are 6-4-2 overall and 1-3-1 in the conference.

How It Happened
- Washington took the game's first shot on goal 7:33 into the game on an attempt by Brady, but the chance was tipped away by the Ursinus goalie.
- Lindsey Nguyen nearly put Washington on the board in the 19th minute, but her shot rang off the left post.
- Brady would get the lone goal wit 6:13 to go in the first half as she received a pass from Barnum, dribbled up the field and let a shot go from the penalty stripe into the lower left of the goal to put the Shorewomen ahead 1-0.
- The Bears nearly tied it up in later in the first half as Olivia Allen made the initial save with 4:04 to go and on the rebound shortly thereafter after Brianna Gavini made a team save blocking the second shot attempt by the visitors.
- In the second half, Ursinus' last shot on goal came with 12:36 to go, but Allen gobbled up the shot. The Bears' last chance came with 7:26 to go, but the shot was high.
