Kaileigh Brady (Hockessin, Del./St. Mark's) scored the only goal of the game late in the first half from freshman forward
Lily Barnum (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) as host Washington College got past visiting Ursinus 1-0 on Wednesday evening on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in Centennial Conference women's soccer action. The Shorewomen are now 7-3-1 overall and 2-2-0 in the Centennial, while the Bears are 6-4-2 overall and 1-3-1 in the conference.

How It Happened
- Washington took the game's first shot on goal 7:33 into the game on an attempt by Brady, but the chance was tipped away by the Ursinus goalie.

Lindsey Nguyen nearly put Washington on the board in the 19th minute, but her shot rang off the left post.
- Brady would get the lone goal wit 6:13 to go in the first half as she received a pass from Barnum, dribbled up the field and let a shot go from the penalty stripe into the lower left of the goal to put the Shorewomen ahead 1-0.
- The Bears nearly tied it up in later in the first half as
Olivia Allen made the initial save with 4:04 to go and on the rebound shortly thereafter after
Brianna Gavini made a team save blocking the second shot attempt by the visitors.
- In the second half, Ursinus' last shot on goal came with 12:36 to go, but Allen gobbled up the shot. The Bears' last chance came with 7:26 to go, but the shot was high.
